Connect with OAuth

Browser Allow flow for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini MCP connectors.

Overview

OAuth is the non-technical path for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini: the AI app opens Liquify in your browser, you sign in (Ultra required), and tap Allow. No API keys to copy. Liquify then issues tokens the client uses with https://api.getliquify.com/v1/mcp.

For Cursor, Claude Desktop, and similar clients that paste URL + token, use API token setup (Other in the app).

In the app

  1. Open Connections → MCP.
  2. Copy the connection link.
  3. Follow the ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini guide in the hub (or the steps below).
  4. After Allow, the app appears under Connected apps — you can disconnect anytime.

Ultra lapse pauses grants (they stop working until Ultra returns). Connected apps stay listed so you can disconnect; new connections require Ultra.

Liquify does not start OAuth by itself. The AI client’s connector UI opens authorize; unauthenticated requests redirect to https://app.getliquify.com/oauth/mcp for consent.

Per client

ChatGPT

  1. Copy the connection link.
  2. In ChatGPT (web), open Settings → Apps / connectors (Developer Mode may be required on some plans).
  3. Create a connector named Liquify, paste the link, choose OAuth.
  4. Sign in to Liquify → Allow.
  5. Enable Liquify in the chat when prompted.

Claude

  1. Copy the connection link.
  2. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the Liquify connection link and continue.
  4. Click Connect, sign in to Liquify, and tap Allow.

Gemini

  1. Copy the connection link.
  2. In Gemini, open the MCP / connector settings and add a custom server.
  3. Paste the Liquify connection link and choose OAuth.
  4. Sign in to Liquify → Allow.

Technical notes

GET /v1/oauth/metadata
GET /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server

Flow: authorize (PKCE S256) → consent on app.getliquify.com → code → POST /v1/oauth/token (authorization_code or refresh_token) → MCP calls with Bearer access token. Revoke via POST /v1/oauth/revoke or Connected apps in Liquify. Ultra lapse pauses grants.

Allowlisted OAuth clients include Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Cursor redirect URIs. In the app and these docs, Cursor’s primary path is still API token / Other.
