Overview
tools/list and tools/call expose the shared Budget Tools catalog (same tool names, schemas, and execution as the Tools API). Writes change the live plan and record Activity History (actorSource: mcp).
tools/list descriptions are agent-oriented (tool choice, id shapes, caps). Full human docs — parameters, curl, sample responses, and limits tables — live on the API product sidebar; each tool has its own page (same names as MCP):

MCP clients call tools via JSON-RPC tools/call against https://api.getliquify.com/v1/mcp instead of HTTP GET / PATCH / DELETE / POST on /v1/{toolName}.
Unknown tool arguments are rejected the same way as the Tools API (invalid_argument with details.fields) — see Errors & rate limits.
