Delete your account

How to delete Liquify from the app or website, restore within 30 days, and what happens to Free accounts that stay inactive.

Overview

You can delete your Liquify account from the app or the website. Free accounts that stay unused for a long time may pause background updates and, after a year, enter the same deletion path.

Delete from the app

  1. Open Profile (signed in, not as a guest).
  2. Tap Delete Account and confirm.
  3. Your account is marked for deletion. Data stays about 30 days, then is permanently removed.
  4. During that window, sign back in and tap Restore Account to keep everything.

This is not the same as moving a budget to trash—see Deleted budgets.

Delete from the website

Use the account deletion form linked in the site footer (Account deletion), or open /account-deletion on getliquify.com. Submit the form with the email on your account; support processes the request.

Free inactivity (pause and long-term deletion)

Applies to Free signed-in accounts with an email. Pro and Ultra are not paused or deleted for inactivity.

After unused…What happens
More than 30 daysBackground work for budgets you own pauses: daily reports, payment-day and manual reminders, refill/investment reminders, and bank sync. Opening Liquify signed in (online) resumes them.
More than 1 yearWe email a warning and mark the account for deletion—the same 30-day restore window as deleting from Profile. Sign in and restore to keep the account.

“Used” means Firebase Auth activity (signing in or refreshing your session when the app talks to Liquify)—you do not need to edit the plan.

Shared budgets

Pause and inactivity deletion follow the budget owner. Collaborators are not paused on their own. If a Free owner goes stale, that budget’s background updates stop even if a collaborator is still active, and the app shows a warning strip under the top bar (the same strip used for view-only budgets; one banner if both apply).
