Overview
Credit card spending still belongs to boxes. Liquify treats credit card debt as part of a box’s available money: you link a box to a credit card and a payment account. That payment account holds the box’s planned money to pay the card.
How it works
- With account alerts, the goal is to prevent overspending on the card relative to the plan.
- If you still go over, cover the extra from your savings (emergency buffer) and adjust the box amount to a realistic value—same idea as Overspending.
- Set Statement closing day on the box so Expected in account knows when the payment account should cover the full statement.
- With Bank Sync, Brazilian Open Finance cards use an open-statement estimate from recent charges (not the bank’s used-limit balance).
In the app
In Edit Expense Box, choose payment mode / link a credit account and its payment checking account. Alerts and Expected in account use those links.
