Expected in account today

How much to keep in a linked account for this box’s upcoming bills until the next refill.

Overview

Expected in account is a projection: how much to keep in your linked account as of today for this box’s upcoming bills, based on planned expenses and monthly refills. It helps you see whether the account still covers the plan—not a bank statement balance by itself.

How it works

  • The main figure includes today’s planned charges.
  • On days with bills, Liquify also shows the amount after those bills.
  • The Insufficient for plan alert uses the after-bills amount so a charge posting mid-day does not falsely mark you short.
  • Bills after the next refill do not count. If a bill and refill share a day, the bill is paid first.
  • Account (checking) boxes: money leaves on each payment day.
  • Credit card boxes: your payment account covers the full statement on the statement closing day you set in Edit Expense Box.
  • In Reports, Needed is end-of-day (after that day’s planned bills). Account vs plan labels this Needed.

This is a projection. Payments may post a day or two earlier or later due to weekends, holidays, or processing delays.

Multi-currency

Amounts convert with mid-market rates that update about daily, so the figure can drift slightly. Keep a small buffer if alerts are on.

In the app

Open a box on Accounts (or Plan details) to see Expected in account today. Change refill day in Edit Budget → Refill day. For credit boxes, set Statement closing day in Edit Expense Box. Alert copy links here when the account looks short of the plan.
