Overview
Bento is Liquify’s in-app AI assistant. Open it from the desktop sidebar or More menu after signing in. Chat uses Google Gemini with the same tools as the Tools API and MCP on Ultra—so Bento can answer about your plan and request edits that show up in Activity History.
Bento starts each turn with a small core tool set and uses search_tools to load more schemas when needed. Tools API and MCP still advertise the full catalog and stay Ultra-only. External MCP (ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini, or Other like Cursor) uses your AI app’s bill.

Language and formats
Bento replies in your app Language (Settings → Preferences → Language), not necessarily in the language of your latest message. Number layout and calendar wording follow your number format and timezone preferences the same way.
Chat, dictation, and files
- You start every turn — nothing is sent until you send a message (typed, dictated, or with one small attachment).
- Dictation: mic dictation turns speech into editable text before send. Mic recordings and attached audio are capped at 60 seconds (and ≤ 5 MB).
- Attachments: one small file per message (≤ 5 MB): JPEG / PNG / WebP, short PDF (receipt-scale, about 3 pages), or audio ≤ 60 s (transcribed).
- Not for statements: bank statements (CSV / OFX / Excel), oversized files, audio longer than 60 seconds, and multi-page statement PDFs are rejected — use Manual CSV import for statements. Live voice calls are not available.

Free Bento sends also draw from a shared Free AI daily capacity pool (with Analyze). Dictate then send uses one chat turn and one dictation slot. These caps are separate from Plan / Transactions Analysis (Free 4/month, Pro 20/month, Ultra 20/day). When a cap is hit, Bento says whether the monthly, hourly, daily, or capacity limit ran out and roughly when you can try again.
Chats are kept for the 30 newest days (same window as Activity and notifications). New chat starts a fresh thread without deleting the old one.
What Bento is not
- Not Backup/Share — Bento threads are not included in plan backup or share exports.
- Not Analyze — scored Plan / Transactions Analysis still runs only from the in-app Analyze UI.
- Not the Tools API or MCP — those are separate Ultra surfaces for external AI apps and scripts; see API and MCP.
